OSR #1 Update

On 18 June 2010, the FDA wrote to CTI Science questioning whether OSR#1® fit within the agency’s definition of a dietary supplement, indicating that instead it appeared to be a drug.  Although we believe the product meets the legal definition of a “dietary supplement,” we have decided not to contest this point but to work with the agency.  While achieving formal drug approval is lengthy and costly, CTI Science will in the course of it prove to FDA’s satisfaction the safety and efficacy of OSR#1® and ultimately be able to offer OSR#1® to the public with FDA-authorized therapeutic claims.

As a result of this decision, CTI Science has voluntarily agreed to remove OSR#1® from the market effective Thursday, 29 July 2010.  The product will not be available for sale after that date until new drug approval has been obtained.  Please access the CTI Science website, www.ctiscience.com, for updates on OSR#1® in the future.

Beth Krantz, IMC

Certified Interactive Metronome Therapist

Beth Krantz graduated from The University of Central Arkansas in 1984, with a B.S. in Science, Major in Occupational Therapy. She has developed and directed Occupational Therapy, and Hand Therapy programs in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Texas. Prior to taking a break for the professional world to be a homeschool mom and care for her own children, Beth was Regional Director of Hand Therapy for Nova Care, and Area Supervisor of Hand Therapy for RehabWorks in the DFW area.

Beth has personally experienced the challenges of parenting and teaching a child with learning differences. The awareness of these challenges, and a desire to improve the lives of these children and their parents, has brought her back to the therapy world, and prompted her to obtain certification as an Interactive Metronome Trainer in 2009.

Due to complete focus on her family for the last few years, Beth did not maintain her O.T. licensure for the state of Texas. She is currently in the process of regaining licensure.

Diverse experience which includes work in an ED/LD classroom, public school contract work, psychiatric facilities, physical and neurological rehab enables Beth to discern needs in every aspect of the client's life.
